Reframing the Past: From Loss to Becoming

Woman standing in a sunny field releasing papers into the sky, symbolizing letting go of the past and embracing a new perspective.

This morning on my walk, I had one of those quiet, click-into-place moments.

Not an epiphany. Not a download.
More like… a soft, steady reframe.

I started thinking about the past — not just the big moments, but how I’ve carried them.
How I’ve defined myself by what I lost, what didn’t work, what I had to let go of.

But something shifted.

Stepping Into the Self-Concept Before It’s Yours

I remembered taking a job in 2010 as an adjunct instructor at a college.

It was supposed to be a side gig.
But I fell in love with it.
And before long, I wasn’t showing up like a side gig—I was showing up like someone who belonged.

Even before the full-time job was mine, I acted like it already was.

Not because I’d studied Neville or knew how manifestation worked.
But because something in me already knew who I was becoming.

And it worked. I got the full-time position.

Then, unexpectedly, I became the dean.

I didn’t chase that role. I resisted it, actually.
But somewhere deep down, I was already living in the self-concept of a leader.

That’s why my colleagues encouraged me.
That’s why they wrote me letters of recommendation.
That’s why the hiring conversation was barely a conversation at all.

Because when you already are, there’s not much left to prove.

Finding the Design in Unexpected Endings

Fast forward. I held that role for eight years.

Then came the restructuring. The layoffs. The end of the chapter.

I was angry.

Twelve years of service — just gone.

But now I can see the full design.

Working from home let me sell my house at the peak and move to a place I love.
The hurricane that followed? Missed me entirely.

The skills I developed during those years?
They shaped me into a teacher, a leader, a creator, and a better human.

None of it was wasted.
I see that now.

Standing at the Edge of a New Reality

Woman standing at the edge of an open curtain, looking toward a bright sunlit sky, symbolizing stepping into new possibilities.

And here I am — standing at the edge of something new again.

Running a business I believe in, with the person I love most.
Helping people awaken. Helping them rewrite their stories.

And rewriting my own as I go.

But I won’t lie — some days are scary.

There’s no guaranteed paycheck. No benefits package.
No one else setting the pace.

It’s just me, and my knowing.

The Leap: Trusting More Than You Fear

It feels like standing at the edge of a 40-foot cliff, ready to jump into water.

I’ve done that before.
It’s terrifying. And it’s exhilarating.

There’s a pause — the moment when your body screams “don’t” even though your soul already said “yes.”

And then… you jump.

I’ve also jumped from a plane. Same feeling.
And I’ve also not jumped.

I know what it’s like to step back from the edge, too.

So here I am again.
At the edge of a new reality.

One I created on purpose.
One that asks me every day to trust more than I fear.

Awakening: Living as If It’s Already Done

Hands releasing a butterfly into the sunlight, symbolizing awakening, transformation, and the freedom of stepping into a new chapter.

To live as if it’s already done.
To feel the safety and success
before the evidence.

This time, I know what’s on the other side.

Not certainty — but something better.

Freedom.
Alignment.
Awakening.

I’m not scared because I’m lost.
I’m scared because I’m leaping into the version of me I came here to be.

And that, I’ve learned… is exactly what awakening feels like.

Bringing Your Message Into Its Own Awakening

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that your story shapes how people see you—and how you see yourself.

In business, especially as a coach, that story shows up in your website copy.
It’s the difference between a potential client instantly feeling,
“Yes, this is the person for me”… and clicking away to find someone else.

Ready for copy that captures your unique voice—clear, compelling, and built to convert?

These messaging services are tailored to reflect the true essence of your work while attracting the right clients. Whether you need done-for-you website copy or a full messaging overhaul, these packages are designed for coaches, healers, and soul-led entrepreneurs who want to connect authentically with their audience and grow their impact.
